These are great.
Stretch cable goes around your wrist, and pulls the fuse from the circuit if required. Way better than the crappy ones we used to have, which fell apart inside and failed mid day. Pfft!
Why have one? If you happen to part ways with your bike its best it stops running asap. Picture your bike on its side, throttle jammed open and revving flat out with al the oil having dropped away from the oil pickup. Tragedy ahoy!
If you're antique, you may recall Kawasaki ZXRs in World Superbike races falling over in race 1. then exploding massively in Race 2. The bikes would fall over, keep running, suck air into oil pump, get back to the pits and get all set for race 2. Motor runs for half a dozen laps, then explodes like Hiroshima all over the place.
Your Ducati will face a similar fate if left to run while on its side.
